ARYZE has partnered with KPMG and WonderCoders to facilitate the Nordic Women in Tech Awards, which will take place on the 14th of May.
ARYZE is a partner of the Nordic Women in Tech Awards, which will take place on the 14th of May, 2020 at KPMG Copenhagen. The event aims to create and recognize female role models in Nordic tech, and to motivate young women to consider careers in tech. Camilla Ley Valentin is the first confirmed judge, and several other important players in the tech sphere are expected imminently.
The awards will be hosted by WonderCoders, a community organisation started by Plamena Cherneva with the goal of supporting women pursuing careers in IT.

It is pivotal that women have a place within the tech industry; businesses with increased gender diversity perform 19% better on average than homogeneous ones. Further, having different types of people on tech teams will determine what type of tech-based solutions are created, and which social and world problems the industry works to solve. Leaving women out of the sector will mean that technology will not be designed with women in mind, which can create crucial problems. Despite this, over the past ten years, the number of women entering the tech sphere has gradually reduced. Today, only one in four Nordic tech positions are occupied by women, and only one out of one-hundred and seventy-five CTOs are female.
The Nordic Women in Tech Awards provides an important opportunity to recognize the women at the center of the tech sphere. The event enables women in tech to support each other, build connections, and create role models and mentors to boost the number of women in the industry.
